We manufacture and install thermally broken aluminium windows: fixed lights, side and top-hung casements, tilt-and-turn units and large fixed spans for rear elevations. Frames are powder-coated in your chosen RAL finish, glazed with sealed units specified to the room, and installed by our own teams to a surveyed opening.

Manufacture in our factory
Frames are cut, jointed, thermally broken, powder-coated and glazed to the survey drawings on our own production schedule.
Installation by our fitting teams
Units are set plumb, level and square, fixed, sealed and weathered, with adjacent doors aligned so sightlines run true across the elevation.

Materials, methods andthe situations they suit
Thermal breaks and glazing performance
A thermally broken frame separates the external and internal aluminium with a low-conductivity barrier, so heat is not carried straight out through the metal. This is the difference between a modern aluminium window and the 1980s frames people remember running with condensation.
Glazing choice does the rest of the work: sealed double glazed units with a low-emissivity coating and a warm-edge spacer, argon filled where appropriate, and toughened or laminated glass wherever the position requires safety glass. Acoustic laminated glass is specified for elevations facing busier South West London routes.
Configurations and spans
Fixed lights carry the largest panes and are used where the view matters more than ventilation. Side-hung and top-hung casements provide controllable ventilation with a slim opener sash. Tilt-and-turn units give secure background ventilation in tilt and full inward opening for cleaning, which is useful above ground level.
Where a span is wide, the unit is engineered rather than assumed: glass weight, mullion sizing and hardware capacity are calculated so the window still operates smoothly in ten years. This engineering step is where oversized units bought as standard products tend to fail.
Colour, finish and detailing

Where aluminium is the right answer
Rear extensions, side returns, loft conversions, garden rooms and full-width glazed elevations are the common cases. Aluminium is also frequently specified for upper floors on exposed elevations, where its resistance to weathering and its maintenance-free finish are worth more than the material saving of an alternative.
It is less appropriate where a conservation condition requires a traditional timber section and putty line. In those cases we say so and specify timber instead, recommending the wrong material to keep an order is how projects go wrong.
