What we do with the information you give us when you enquire about windows, doors or an extension.
Who we are
Burl & Bow Southwest London manufactures and installs windows, doors and modular extensions across South West London. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Burl & Bow Southwest London.
You can contact us about anything in this policy by phone on 01483 968616 or by email at enquiries@allwoodwindows.co.uk. Our office is open Mon – Fri, 8am – 4pm.
The information we collect
When you complete an enquiry form on this website we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in and any description of the property or project you include.
If you call or email us, we keep a record of that correspondence and any details you give us about your property so that we can quote, survey and schedule the work accurately.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card details, identity documents or any other sensitive personal information through this website.
How we use your information
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, to arrange and carry out a survey, to prepare an estimate, to manufacture and install your order, to raise invoices, and to deal with any aftercare that follows.
Where installation work is certified, we may need to pass your address and installation details to the relevant certification scheme so the certificate can be issued to you.
We will only send you marketing communications if you have asked us to. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to any message or calling the office.
Our lawful basis
We process enquiry details on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and, once you place an order, on the basis of performing that contract.
Where we keep records for accounting or certification purposes, we do so to comply with our legal obligations. Where we keep limited records to respond to future queries about work we carried out, we do so on the basis of our legitimate interest in supporting our own installations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We share information only where it is necessary to deliver your project or run the business: with our own manufacturing and installation teams, with certification bodies where a certificate is required, with delivery or lifting contractors where access requires them, and with our accountants and IT or CRM providers who process data on our behalf under contract.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they remain useful to answer follow-up questions, and are then deleted.
Records relating to completed installations, including survey details, invoices and certification information, are retained for as long as is necessary to support aftercare and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Cookies and website analytics
This website uses only the cookies and similar storage necessary to make the site work and to understand, in aggregate, how pages are used. It does not use cookies to build advertising profiles of individual visitors.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will continue to function if you do.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information we no longer need, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us on 01483 968616 or at enquiries@allwoodwindows.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection.
Security
Enquiry details submitted through this website are transmitted over an encrypted connection. Access to customer records is limited to the people in our business who need them to survey, manufacture, install, invoice or support your project.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page. Please check it when you contact us if the detail matters to you.
