Specification and drawings
Door style, glazing, panel, colour or woodgrain finish, threshold type, locking system and ironmongery are confirmed in writing.
Manufacture in our factory
Frame and leaf are fabricated, reinforced, welded, glazed and prepared for hardware on our own production line.
Installation by our fitting teams
The set is fitted plumb and square, correctly packed and fixed, sealed externally and made good internally.
Testing and FENSA certification
Locking points, hinge adjustment, seal compression and drainage are tested, and qualifying work is certified under FENSA.

Materials, methods andthe situations they suit
Door types and configurations
Front doors are specified around appearance, security and insulation, with panel styles, glazed apertures and side lights arranged to suit the elevation. Back and side entrance doors prioritise security, drainage and durability, often with obscure or laminated glazing.
French door sets give a symmetrical opening onto a garden or terrace, with one leaf usually secured by shootbolts while the other is used daily. Patio sliders suit openings where swing space is limited internally and externally.
Locking, hardware and security
Multi-point locking systems engage hooks, rollers or bolts at several points up the leaf, spreading resistance across the frame rather than concentrating it at one catch. Cylinder specification matters just as much: anti-snap, anti-bump and anti-drill cylinders address the most common attack methods on domestic doors.
Hinges are chosen for leaf weight and adjustability, so the door can be trimmed back into perfect alignment years later rather than being packed or planed.
Panels, glazing and finishes
Insulated door panels provide the thermal core of a solid door, with glazed apertures cut and sealed into them. Glazing runs from clear toughened and laminated glass through decorative and obscure patterns to acoustic laminated units.
Finishes include white, coloured foils and realistic woodgrain effects, with the option of different colours inside and out so the street elevation and the hallway can be treated separately.
Thresholds, drainage and access
The threshold decides how the door handles weather and how easy it is to cross. A weathered threshold sheds driving rain most effectively; a low or level threshold improves access and requires deliberate drainage detailing to remain weathertight.
Drainage slots in the frame and correct external falls keep water moving away rather than sitting in the threshold, which is where long-term damage starts on doors installed without that detail.

- How much does a uPVC door cost?
- It depends on the door type, glazing, panel, hardware and finish. We price after a survey so the figure is real, and there is no reseller margin because we manufacture the door.
- How quickly can it be replaced?
- We confirm a manufacturing and installation window in writing at survey. Production is in our own factory, so the timing is ours to manage.
- Can you just replace the locking mechanism?
- Sometimes, if the frame and leaf are sound and only the mechanism has worn. If the leaf has dropped or the frame has distorted, a new mechanism will fail again quickly and we will tell you so.
- How secure is a uPVC door?
- Security comes from the multi-point lock, the cylinder specification, reinforced keeps, hinge quality and how well the frame is fixed into the structure. Those are specification and installation decisions, not material decisions.
- How long do uPVC doors last?
- A well-fabricated, correctly installed door set is a long-term component. Hardware is the wearing part, and quality hardware fitted in alignment lasts considerably longer than budget hardware forced into position.
- Can I get a woodgrain finish rather than white?
- Yes, in a range of colours and woodgrain foils, including different finishes inside and out.
- Do you fit doors in flats and managed blocks?
- Yes, subject to the freeholder's or managing agent's requirements on appearance and specification.
- Is a replacement door covered by FENSA?
- Qualifying replacement doors are installed under FENSA certification and self-certified against the relevant Building Regulations.
- What if my door is not standard size?
- Nothing we make is standard size: every set is manufactured to the surveyed opening.
- Can new doors match new windows?
- Yes. Ordering both from the same manufacturer in the same finish is how you get a properly matched elevation.
